Opened his first private clinic, Prasad Netralaya in Udupi. He worked hard to provide one-stop eye-care solutions with the latest technology to the people of his home town.

Received the Times Health Excellence Award 2025, presented jointly by The Times of India and Optimal Media. At the ceremony held in Bengaluru, honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Community Ophthalmology and Social Services in recognition of 28 years of dedicated work in community eye care and social service. The award was presented by the renowned film star Sonali Bendre in the presence of distinguished guests.
