Camps in 2026
The Spectacle Distribution Programme was successfully conducted on 25 June 2026 at R.K. Patkar School, Mudkinajeddu, Cherkadi, for the beneficiaries identified during the Eye Camp held on 24 May 2026. The eye camp was organized in association with the National Medicos Organisation, Geleyara Balaga Kannaru, Prasad Netralaya, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Pethri, and Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust, during which 145 patients were selected for free spectacle distribution following comprehensive eye examinations.
The programme was graced by Shri Kota Srinivas Poojary, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) representing the Udupi–Chikkamagaluru Constituency, and other distinguished dignitaries.
A total of more than 145 spectacles, sponsored by Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust in collaboration with Geleyara Balaga Kannaru, were distributed free of cost to the selected beneficiaries. The programme was successfully concluded with the distribution of spectacles, bringing clear vision and happiness to the beneficiaries while reflecting the commitment of the organizing institutions towards community eye care.
ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಶಾಸಕ ಬಿ.ವೈ. ವಿಜಯೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಸಂಸದ ಬಿ.ವೈ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇತ್ರಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ನೇತ್ರಾಲಯ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಕನ್ನಡಕ ವಿತರಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಒನ್ಸೈಟ್ ಎಸಿಲಾರ್ ಲಕ್ಸೊಟ್ಟಿಕಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರದ ಮಂಗಳ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಉಚಿತ ನೇತ್ರ ತಪಾಸಣೆ, ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡಕ ವಿತರಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ 82 ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ನೇತ್ರಾಲಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಉಚಿತ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ 342 ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಕನ್ನಡಕಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಬಿ.ವೈ. ವಿಜಯೇಂದ್ರ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಕ ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.
As part of the Eye Camp organized by Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust in association with National Medicos Organisation, a Free Eye Screening Camp was successfully conducted on 29th March 2026 at Government Higher Primary School, Saibrakatte. The camp was carried out smoothly with the support of doctors, staff, and volunteers, providing eye check-up services and creating awareness about the importance of regular vision screening.
Following the camp, the Spectacle Distribution Program was conducted on 20th April 2026. During the camp, a total of 106 patients were screened, and 54 patients were provided free spectacles as per their prescription. Our beloved trustee and President of the National Medicos Organisation (NMO), Mangaluru and Udupi division, Dr. Krishna Prasad Kudlu personally distributed the spectacles to the beneficiaries, making the event more meaningful and ensuring the program was completed successfully.
A free eye check-up camp was conducted by Mr. Bhaskar Rao, Founder of Mangalore Store, Jeppu, Mangalore, as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations (1976–2026). The camp was organized in collaboration with Prasad Netralaya Super Specialty Hospital; Abco Steel International Pvt. Ltd., Udupi, Mangalore, and Bangalore; Dr. P. Dayananda Pai and Satish Pai Charitable Trust (R); Century Groups, Bengaluru; and the District Health and Family Welfare Society (District Blindness Control Society), Mangalore.
The camp was held on Friday, 03-04-2026, at Palemar Garden, Morgan’s Gate, Jeppu, Mangalore. It witnessed an encouraging response from the local community. More than 101 patients were screened, over 50 spectacles were distributed, and more than 10 patients were identified for cataract surgery.
Mega free eye check-up camp held at Mangala Bhavana in Shikaripura, where MLA of the constituency and Karnataka BJP State President, Shri B. Y. Vijayendra, stated that it is the duty of every individual to protect the eyes given by God. More than 850 people from Shikaripura taluk participated in the camp and benefited from it.
The camp was organized under the leadership Karnataka BJP State President, Shri B. Y. Vijayendra in collaboration with Prasad Netralaya, Udupi, and Swami Vivekananda Educational Institution.
As the President of the National Medicos Organisation (NMO) Mangaluru and Udupi division and as the Patron of Mangala Swasthya Seva Yatra 3.0, I am extremely proud to share that we have rendered extensive service across Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
On March 29, 2026, 30 general health check-up camps and 5 specialty camps were organized across 30 locations in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
More than 1600 patients from remote areas with limited access to healthcare were treated. Free medicines, spectacles, and eye surgeries were provided.
As part of the ongoing eye care camps conducted by Prasad Netralaya in collaboration with the National Medicos Organisation, large eye camps were held at Saibrakatte, Kambadakone, and Barkur. Around 20 staff members actively participated, examining more than 375 patients, distributing over 190 spectacles, and selecting 41 patients for cataract surgery. The camp began in the morning and concluded with a valedictory function at Sanghaniketan in Mangaluru.
A Free Eye Check-up and Free Spectacle Distribution Camp was conducted on 22-02-2026 (Sunday) at the Naxal Nigrha Pade Training Centre, Kukkunoor in association with District Health and Family Welfare Department (Blindness Control Programme), Udupi, and the Naxal Nigrha Pade, Kukkunoor. The camp included free eye examinations, free distribution of spectacles. more than 70 spectacles were distributed, bringing smiles and better vision to many beneficiaries.
The eye camp organized by Namo Friends, Doddanagudde, was successfully conducted on 15/02/2026. Eye check-ups were carried out for more than 216 people. Out of them, more than 168 people were provided with spectacles.
Comprehensive eye camp conducted at ambekar bhavaba kinnimulki udupi where free spectacles were distributed to more than 40 beneficiaries.
The Arogya Mela – Free Eye Camp at Shivapaadi Shri Umashankari Temple on 15/02/2026 was successfully inaugurated along with the Trustee of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Trust. More than 205 people were screened during the camp, and over 142 free spectacles were distributed.
Free eye check-up and free spectacles distribution camp on Sunday, 18 January 2026, at the Community Hall, Muddoore. The camp included free eye examinations, free distribution of spectacles, and free cataract surgeries. More than 250 patients were screened. Received felicitation in recognition of excellence in social service.

Camps in 2025
The “Road Safety Week” Camp in Kota recorded a total of 143 OPD patients. Among them, 6 patients were selected for surgery, including 1 pterygium case and 1 patient convinced for a better lens. Additionally, 4 patients were covered under Yashaswini, 16 patients were referred to PN Hospital, and 18 patients received optical services.
