As Prasad Netralaya had transformed into a super specialty one stop eye care Center with different departments including a retina department in 2010, this department was upgraded with newer imaging technologies and laser machines in 2012. Introducing and serving people with the latest technology has always been one of Dr. Kudlu’s passions.
Prasad Netralaya Udupi was pre-accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).
In line with Dr. Kudlu’s interest towards academic upgradation, Prasad Netralaya conducted a mega Refractive CME called Faco ref. Senior-most Ophthalmologist and Padmashree Awardee Dr. K K Mehta inaugurated the programm, in the presence of e Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (formerly known as Manipal University)
As service was his passion, he began conducting full fledged eye camps under the Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust (NJCT).
The Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust was registered with the intention of providing free services to those in need.
Received Udupi District’s prestigious Zilla Rajyotsava Award in 2011 from Former Home Minister of Karnataka. Late Dr. V.S. Acharya and MLA. Mr. K. Raghupathi Bhat.
Coastal Karnataka’s first Refractive Suit was installed at Prasad Netralaya in 2012, and inaugurated by Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. Jagadish Shettar
ISO accreditation was given to Prasad Netralaya by Home Minister of Karnataka Dr V S Acharya in 2011, as providing quality service was our motto and passion.
Prasad Netralaya introduced Dry Eye Therapy with Italian technology to coastal Karnataka.
The Eye bank at Prasad Netralaya began its awareness programs in association with Indian Red Cross society, and this received encouragement from the people of Udupi district.
