Received the Times Health Excellence Award 2025, presented jointly by The Times of India and Optimal Media. At the ceremony held in Bengaluru, honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Community Ophthalmology and Social Services in recognition of 28 years of dedicated work in community eye care and social service. The award was presented by the renowned film star Sonali Bendre in the presence of distinguished guests.
I was deeply honoured to be appointed as an Organising Committee Board Member of the Middle East Ophthalmic Society, reflecting commitment to advancing ophthalmic science and fostering professional collaboration. I was also privileged to receive the Participation Award from the Karnataka Ophthalmic Society and the Service to MEOM Academy Award from the MEOM Academy in recognition of dedication, active involvement, and significant contributions to ophthalmic education and service.
An eye donation rally was held for the first time in Gujarat on September 17th, 2021. This was done to raise awareness of the importance of eye health in the prime Minister’s homeland.
