“Dr. Krishna Prasad Kudlu has been dedicated towards social services for several years. He is serving the people of poor sections of the society suffering from eye-sight related diseases — with his immense knowledge and expertise in all departments of ophthalmology, and with an expert team of doctors and paramedical staff. He developed his skills through National and International platforms, which made him employ his experience to the betterment of mankind in the field of health and education. “Understanding his capability, the Government of Karnataka appointed Dr. Krishna Prasad Kudlu as the Chairman of the Vision Committee to prepare the Vision Policy for Karnataka. On being elected as the Secretary of Karnataka Ophthalmological Society, he took the initiative to reform several policies and administration-related tasks. He is also elected as a member of the Scientific Committee and plays a key role in it. By establishing institutes like Netra Jyothi Institute of Optometry, Paramedical Sciences and Allied Health Sciences, he aims to provide the best of education to aspiring healthcare students. With sheer enthusiasm towards the student community, he has introduced a Fellowship Program in all departments of ophthalmology, which are affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
